Kisze play-Recycle paper project
Kisze play is probably the most popular folk custom to drive away winter. A straw puppet dressed up in a young bride’s clothes is carried through the streets of a village, made noise and is burnt while rhymes are being chanted. This puppet symbolizes winter, cold weather, illness, curse, sorrow and generally bad things, but fire means clearing and has a devil-chasing role. In some settlements near a river this puppet is thrown into the water.

In this project the students and teachers write short list their sorrows/wishes or collect old sketches and give these papers to Kisze. Peoples can use to her a „soul garbage”. So she collects sadness or any thoughts, Its just stand like a scarecrow at the entrance door of Intermedia department. If will be here Spring, we collect these papers and make recycle papers together at the „winterkitchen”of the Intermedia department.
